Bookings for both rooms and tables open four months in advance. If you’d like to reserve for a special event beyond this window, please contact us here.

We do not take reservations for tables in the bar, which are kept open for walk-in guests on the day and serve our bar menu only.

Gratuities

We add 12.5% for service on the bill.

Wine List

We offer an extensive wine list, including a broad selection by the glass. These wines change regularly and are listed daily as our house selection. For those wishing to explore further, our full cellar list is always available.

Our wine pricing does not follow a standard fixed mark-up; instead, we apply a decreasing percentage scale. Corkage is charged at £50 per bottle for guests wishing to bring a special wine.

Dietaries & Allergies

Our menu is not suited to vegan or dairy-free diets. Gluten-free diners should be able to navigate the menu, though with more limited choice.

For allergies or other intolerances, please inform us at least 48 hours in advance.

Children

The King’s Cow restaurant and menu are not designed with children in mind, though some children of dining age may enjoy the experience. Private Dining can be a suitable option for families if required. We are also developing plans at our nearby pub to better accommodate younger diners.

Dogs

Restaurant: Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome at the table. Please let us know when booking so we can allocate a quieter table where possible.

Rooms: Well-behaved dogs are also welcome in our rooms; advance notice is required.

Accessibility & parking

The King’s Cow is a historic 18th-century building with uneven surfaces, changes in floor level, slopes, low ceilings, low doorways, and steps.

The main entrance has three steps; however, more level access is available via the front pathway, and the B&B entrance can also be used to access the pub and restaurant if assistance is required.

All bedrooms are located on the first and second floors and are accessible by stairs only.

Our car park is limited in size, though unrestricted roadside parking is available nearby.

For these reasons, our accommodation may not be suitable for guests with certain mobility needs. A future nearby venture will be better suited to accessible stays.

Please contact the team at info@thekingscow.com if you’d like to discuss accessibility in more detail.
